Canada Day Celebrations
July 1 is Canada Day and the City of Calgary is planning what is sure to be an amazing collection of free celebrations that are open to all.
An Indigenous showcase and Powwow will take place at Fort Calgary, along with the TD Stage that will see performances from musical acts including classic indie rock band Sloan at 9:45pm.
A family-friendly celebration at St. Patrick’s Island will go from 11am-5pm and will feature crafts, activities, buskers, and other performers.
From 11am-5pm, a day of public art and local music will be showcased at Olympic Plaza. A fireworks show from the Municipal Building will cap off the day at 11pm.
