311 Calgary

311 is the City of Calgary’s information and non-emergency request-for-service system. It’s used to obtain specific information about City services and report issues that a City department can correct.

Calgary was the first city in Canada to launch 311. Dozens of cities in North America now use 311.

Some of the most common requests to 311 include waste and recycling, parks and tree concerns, snow and ice, and yard maintenance. 311 is the first point of contact with issues like these as they have the ability to triage and schedule action directly to the relevant City of Calgary department and they have extensive data/record keeping.

You can contact 311 by dialing 3-1-1 on your phone, visiting the website, or by using the mobile/smartphone app.
